Explore spectacles of nature at ARTE M! Created by d’strict, Korea’s largest immersive media art exhibition makes its international debut in Hong Kong on Oct 7 2022, inviting visitors on a multi-sensory virtual journey into the hidden depths of nature.
Taking on the theme of ‘Eternal Nature’, ARTE M traverses four immersive spaces. Experience powerful waves, delicate flowers, fantastical jungles, and inspiring beaches — enhanced by a stunning interplay of visuals, sounds, and fragrances.
Feel the resonance of great waves crashing towards you — rising and falling as though about to engulf all in its path, yet trapped in an uncanny space created by anamorphic illusion.
Celebrate the ephemerality of life through the cycles of camellia and rapeseed flowers, amidst a lyrical breeze and a gentle rain of petals.
Wander among the flora and fauna of the mystical jungle — a profusion of colours shifting and changing from moment to moment, from day to night.
Take a seaside stroll into a space of contemplation and enlightenment, surrounded by natural waves and brilliant aurora lights.
ARTE M is the prequel to the highly anticipated ARTE MUSEUM, set to open at 11 SKIES , Hong Kong’s largest retail-tainment destination.

Presented by Gallery 27, Kazumasa Nagai: From Now to Eternity is a retrospective showcase featuring over 100 selected posters and original etchings works by Japanese graphic design master Kazumasa Nagai.
Kazumasa Nagai is recognised as one of the most acclaimed Japanese designers and printmakers in the twentieth century. His creative works, from corporate logos to posters for commercial campaigns and cultural events, established a design language in post-war Japan that balances economy, society and culture.
Tracing Nagai’s prolific career from the 1950s to the present, the showcase highlights the four phases of Nagai’s design practice — ‘Lens to the World’, ‘Beyond the Horizon’, ‘Imagery of the Living World’, and ‘Friends for LIFE’. From abstract geometric designs to experimental photo collages, these creations offer fresh insight into the depth and breadth of his artistic vision.
Enjoy Nagai’s posters as a never seen before 1.9-metre installation, created in collaboration with THE HOUSE OF DESIGN AND ART. You can also take home Nagai’s first-ever authorised collectibles — 150 art figurines in 5 different styles, each marked with a unique number!
Visitors are even invited to create your own masterpiece in our drawing corner and join the competition. Upload your completed artwork to Instagram @GALLERY27HK @K11MUSEA with hashtag #GALLERY27XNAGAI #K11MUSEA for the chance to win a prize!

How do you make art from broken things?
Shards of broken metal, crumbling moulds, and deformed pottery are easily seen as failed works or forgotten vestiges of the past. Yet in the eyes of artist duo Julie & Jesse, the thousands of years of failures and mistakes in porcelain craft serve as an artistic point of departure — a treasure trove of inspiration that drives their creation. Drawing on the rich yet fragmented history of Chinese porcelain, Julie & Jesse’s experimental ceramics explore the relationships between human and object, and nature and industry, against the changing landscape of art.
In this Zoom K11 Konversation, we speak with Julie Progin and Jesse Mc Lin, founders of Julie & Jesse, on their approach to art, the act of preserving history and culture through continued creation, and the importance of play in inspiring the next generation of artists.
Enrol in this K11 Konversation now to discover a whole world of beauty from the broken and lost!
Julie Progin & Jesse Mc Lin, Co-founders of Julie & Jesse and Latitude 22N
Established in Hong Kong and Jingdezhen, Julie & Jesse is the creative partnership of Hong Kong-born Swiss designer Julie Progin and American artist Jesse Mc Lin. Embracing the culture and history behind each project, the duo’s practice stretches across the fields of design, craft, and art, blending research and material experimentation into the making of innovative porcelain objects and installations. Julie & Jesse’s works have been shown at institutions such as M+ Museum, Design Society, the Triennale Di Milano & Chicago Design Museum, and K11 Art Foundation.

Showcased in Hong Kong for the first time, Alexvi: Three Distances consolidates the photographer’s many years of art practice, exploring the poignant connections between the photographer, the subject, and the viewer across two spaces in K11 MUSEA.

Presenting three of the artist’s series, the showcase depicts forms of distance: Back to Black features close-up portraits of famous faces; Peking Apartment gives an alternative look at fashion icons in their private spaces; and Lonely Planet offers a furtive view of bystanders and their relationship with their screens.
Since 2009, the artist has captured portraits of more than 150 well-known Chinese actors and singers in a unified, black-and-white format. The resulting Back to Black series is a stunning record of 12 years of Chinese cinema, displayed in a dimmed space to emphasise the blurred distinction between icons and idols in the age of consumerism.
