About Maegan Cowan Maegan is responsible for multiple sustainability projects at HKU including waste reduction, student engagement, and coordination with other universities. She plays a key role in helping the University move away from single use items and towards reusables. She developed the Ditch Disposable campaign and successfully led the University to ban single use plastic water bottles and straws. She is now overseeing HKU’s work to become a disposable plastic free campus by September 2020. She also is responsible for the campus recycling program and encouraging students and staff to recycle responsibly. Additionally, she manages the Sustainability Interns program and helps students across campus become green leaders. In collaboration with seven other universities in Hong Kong, she spearheaded the UNIfy “Skip the Straw” and “BYO” campaigns, the first joint environmental campaigns amongst all eight publicly funded universities. She is incredibly passionate about sustainability in higher education and sees the university as the ideal place to facilitate environmental leadership and learning. 
About Sole Riestra Founder and Director of Ecoed Life, Sole is an organisational development and learning professional, sustainability practitioner, cultural and societal change seeker. With +15 years of experience and a lifelong commitment towards helping individuals and organisations bring about change within themselves and in society, her work through Ecoed life and consulting practice involves personal, group and leadership development, as well as research on human behaviour change on sustainable living. 
About Willy Kwong Willy has worked in the areas of youth development and sustainable development for the past 10 years. His work in these fields has seen him combine his talents and interests into a career focus on social innovation and empowerment of the next generation. He also holds the Master of Arts in Applied Sociology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed various important international courses and training programs in the areas of human rights, social innovation and public engagement. 展开
